Forest North Elementary Bibliotherapy Book Clubs
This program is a collaboration between the Counselor and Librarian to target students in grades 2-5 that could benefit in the development of self-confidence, healthy concepts and strengthen relationships between participants, peers and teachers. Students are identified through close collaboration between Teacher, Counselor and Librarian. The clubs meet weekly during each semester.
We choose books that are rich with opportunity to discuss emotion management, problem solving, fitting in, communicating your needs and other potentially difficult facets of life. This program has enabled students to become more effective in interpersonal relationships, increasingly motivated to succeed and inspired as confident lifelong learners.
